Why UAE buyers source from us
- Zero import duty on Indian-origin limestone under the India-UAE CEPA agreement.
- Short, low-cost transit — Mundra to Jebel Ali is one of the shortest stone routes in the world.
- Mine-direct pricing — no trader margin between quarry and your site.
- Full range — slabs, tiles, EN 1469 cladding, countertops, cobblestone and carved stone.
- CEPA certificate of origin and ASTM / EN-CE test reports with every shipment.
MI Stones is a mine-direct supplier of Indian Nimbahera limestone to the UAE — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and across the Emirates. We quarry and finish the stone ourselves in Rajasthan and ship it duty-free into the UAE under the India-UAE CEPA agreement, with one of the shortest and cheapest ocean routes in the dimensional-stone trade.
For Gulf importers, contractors and façade specialists, the combination of mine-direct pricing, zero duty and a few days at sea makes Indian limestone exceptionally competitive against European and Middle-Eastern stone landed in the UAE.
The CEPA duty advantage
Since the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement came into force, dimensional limestone of Indian origin enters the UAE at zero import duty when accompanied by a valid CEPA certificate of origin. We issue that certificate with every UAE shipment, so the saving is captured at customs rather than left as paperwork risk. On a full container, that duty saving is a direct, repeatable cut to your landed cost.
Short transit, favourable container economics
Ocean transit from Mundra to Jebel Ali is only a few days — far shorter than shipping stone from Europe or the Mediterranean. Lower freight plus zero duty means a delivered price into the UAE that mine-direct Indian stone is hard to beat on. Standard terms are FOB Mundra/Kandla or CIF/DAP to your UAE port, with onward delivery available across the Emirates.
